Dr. Gina Crippen
Introduction & Personal Experience
Dr. Gina Crippen has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry for over 15 years in the Sacramento area. After studying biology at California State University, Sacramento, Dr. Crippen followed in the footsteps of her father, Juan Delgado, DDS. She attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where she excelled in academics and enhanced her innate interpersonal skills. She obtained her doctorate in dentistry and graduated with honors in 2004.

Dr. Crippen specializes in restorative dental treatments with specific treatment plans that accommodate the unique needs of each individual patient. She uses digital designs, Invisalign, gingival contouring, and hands-on custom staining to achieve each patient’s functional needs and aesthetic goals. Dr. Crippen seamlessly blends the art and science of dentistry to provide the highest level the individualized care of her patients. Because she deeply respects each patient’s unique needs, she makes a point to discover the most effective and comfortable ways to serve her patients.
Dr. Sarah Mathai
Introduction & Personal Experience
Dr. Sarah Mathai is a native of Sacramento, California. She attended St. Francis High School, completed her undergraduate degree at Santa Clara University, and went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2018. She has been part of the Midtown Dental Team since 2019.
Dr. Mathai is kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. The entire staff was so sweet and made me feel welcome… Dr. Mathai had to deliver some bad news to me (teeth removal and surgery needed), but she was so kind when relaying this to me. No judgment, just a game plan. I’m so grateful for the entire staff at Midtown Dental, thank you all for being so kind.
Dr. Mathai’s Specialty
Dr. Mathai is passionate about using the latest technology to deliver her patients the highest quality of care. She is highly skilled in digital restorative design and Invisalign therapy. Dr. Mathai strives to treat her patients like family and is passionate about creating a foundation of trust with her patients through thorough communication, education, and preventative care. She prides herself in creating an open, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their oral health needs in order to create healthy habits for a lifetime of overall well-being.
Dr. Jenny Apekian
Introduction & Personal Experience
As an accomplished artist, Dr. Apekian pays close attention to every brush stroke and detail in her artwork. She takes that same approach to her work and skills as a dentist. Dr. Apekian graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco, where she graduated top of her class.
Dr. Apekian and her staff are talented, kind, and professional, and Dr. Apekian is a real artist. She replaced a crown in one visit, and it looks great. I could not be happier!
Dr. Apekian’s Specialty
Dr. Apekian is a graduate of the Sacramento Implant Continuum and uses the latest technology for guided implantology. She also serves as a mentor and trainer for Dentsply Sirona’s CEREC CAD/CAM technology throughout the Sacramento region. In addition to speaking at events for Dentsply Sirona, Dr. Apekian continually improves her skills at the courses hosted by the dental equipment manufacturer. She teaches fellow dentists how to use the technology to design and produce complete restorations, surgical guides and appliances for prosthetics, implantology and orthodontics.
