Chalk It Up! Gains Art Sponsorship With Midtown Dental
It’s that time of year again! Midtown Dental is continuing its involvement and support of Chalk It Up! Chalk It Up! is an annual festival in Sacramento that takes place in Fremont Park during the Labor Day Weekend. Dr. Jenny Apekian, DDS of Midtown Dental, proudly partners with this event to support Youth Arts. All volunteers and supporters help in the goal to achieve donations and small grants for individuals, groups, and art organizations throughout the Sacramento Region.
Dr. Jenny Apekian will be sponsoring the event for the 3rd year in a row to increase her support within the community. She actively participates in the creation of chalk artwork that will be displayed on the sidewalks the park. Dr. Apekian channels her passion of art into her dental practice, and performs “Dentistry as an Art”. She’s an accomplished Artist who eagerly joins the local artists, organizations, and youth art programs contributing to the Sidewalk Art.
What Is Chalk It Up! About?
For the last 27 years, The Chalk It Up! Event helps fund Youth Art Programs across the Sacramento Region. Its purpose is to encourage the local community to take a step forward in its commitment to support the importance of Art. Events such as this particular one create positive influences for everyone, especially our youth. Dr. Apekian’s involvement with the art event in Sacramento has been through Sponsorship, as well as a volunteer Chalk Artist. There are other roles that individuals can play in the festival, such as a Food Vendor and Volunteer to help out with the efforts of the event.
The event also features Musical Performers that focus on donating their time and efforts to entertain all members of the festival. Any role of involvement will help boost the reach of the Labor Day Weekend Festival – there have been an average of over 60,000 attendees in Fremont Park over the course of the three-day weekend.
